Acne is a medical condition that is widespread amongst people living in the world. Hormones are commonly responsible for the acne that develops in young people as the condition starts with puberty, although acne does not discriminate who it decides to inflict, and there are no signals for who will develop acne.
Acne develops due to the over stimulation of the sebaceous glands that control how much oil they produce. Alas, acne often does not disappear at the end of puberty and it can continue well into adulthood. There are many creams and potions that say they can help with acne, although there appears to be few treatment programs available that actually will cure acne. One of these programs is acne no more. It is a natural skin care regime program that has shown success in being able to completely eliminate the different forms of acne.
When you have acne it means that there is extra sebum that is produced in your body, which travels up the hair follicle where it mixes with bacteria and dead skin cells. This results in the clogging up of the skin follicles which causes acne. Bacteria is the real problem for acne sufferers as it is difficult to keep under control and eliminate completely. The result of this is inflammation of the skin areas and the resulting pain and discomfort that is felt from the red swollen acne areas of the skin
Different form of acne spots
A Comedone is simply an enlarged hair follicle that is clogged up with dead skin cells and bacteria. This is where the acne starts from, and these can get either larger or they can burst where they cause the appearance of whiteheads, blackheads, papules, nodules or cysts. None of these types of spots are pleasant and are not easy to treat or get rid of.
Looking after your skin
The key to treating your acne is to treat your skin gently and follow a regular skin care regime both morning and evening.
Firstly you should ensure that your hands are washed and are clean before following your skin care regime. You should aim to avoid rubbing the skin and avoid using very hot water on your face, as this can burn and irritate the skin. The rule of thumb is that whatever you’re applying or using on your skin should not irritate at all. Splash warm water over your face, or if you are in the shower then you can just allow the warm water to run over your face without having to touch the area at all. Once your face is wet you should then apply a gentle cleanser ideally that has been formulated for sensitive skin. Using your bare hands is the best approach, not a sponge or flannel or other applicator, as you cannot guarantee the cleanliness of these items and also you are not able to feel the pressure that you are applying as you are able to with your own hands.
You should work the cleanser around your face and the affected areas very carefully for around 15 seconds. This cleansing will get rid of any of the surface oils that are on your skin that are responsible for the clogging up of the hair follicles. After cleansing your skin you should again gently splash warm water to remove the cleanser from the skin. You then need to dry the skin areas by dabbing at the area with a clean towel - never rubbing with it. When your skin has dried completely then this is the point that you should apply any treatment cream you’re usign. Most people with acne are going to try over-the-counter medications that contain chemical compounds such as benzoyl peroxide, which is normally applied generously to the acne areas. Again, you should ensure that you wash and dry hands before applying any treatment creams. Allow the cream to absorb and do not rub it into your skin. Be careful and apply sparingly around the eye area where the skin is much finer and more likely to be damaged. It is recommended that you leave the cream to absorb for up to 15 minutes.
After this, the last step in your skin care regime is to apply a moisturiser to the area. Again wash and dry hands before doing this, as your hands collect excess oil and you do not want to be transferring this back to your face. Applying a recommended moisturiser is essential to avoid the feeling of dryness and irritation that your skin might feel. Use as much moisturiser as you feel is necessary - there is no restriction on the amount you use. It is especially important to keep the skin moisturised properly as skin creams that contain benzolyl peroxide can cause excessive dryness and flakiness of the skin
